New “Most Favored Patient” Reform Initiative: A Bold Policy Blueprint for Lower Costs, Greater Access and Better Healthcare

Just six months in, the Trump administration has wasted no time dismantling many failed Biden administration policies.  From securing the nation’s borders to reducing inflation to improving energy security to supporting Israel, President Trump is delivering on his promises to the American people.  

For American consumers, a significant pillar of President Trump’s agenda is his commitment to domestic healthcare reform that delivers lower costs, greater access to lifesaving medicines and higher quality care for patients.  That also means encouraging more domestic manufacturing, and finally holding European and other developed nations accountable after decades of free riding on American investment, research and development, and innovation.  

In the effort to achieve those critical healthcare reform goals, this month witnessed the launch of the “Most Favored Patient” initiative, a bold new policy blueprint led by prominent free-market and pro-intellectual property (IP) voices Steve Forbes, Stephen Moore, Phil Kerpen and Thomas Philipson from Unleash Prosperity Now.  That blueprint offers a series of clear policy prescriptions that will help the Trump administration make its healthcare vision a reality for Americans.  Importantly, it does so without introducing counterproductive price controls that would only end up threatening future innovation, hurting the U.S. economy and depriving patients of critical lifesaving drugs and care.
